What if I can’t draw or illustrate my book?
We know this is a massive roadblock for many authors writing a children’s book. We have professional illustrators that will walk you through the process, offer insight into what it looks like, and provide an opportunity to partner with them if you don’t want to do it yourself. After you sign up for the workshop, you will be offered Character Calling, which is an exclusive opportunity to have your main character drawn by a professional illustrator.
What if I’ve never written a book before? Can I start with a children’s book?
Absolutely.
You don’t have to be a published author to write a children’s book! Every aspiring writer needs to start somewhere, and this workshop is a great place to build the confidence to develop a character that will stand the test of time, whether you stick to the children’s genre or branch out into other genres later.
There are children’s book classes already out there, so how is this any different?
We are building a pure platform of Christian children’s book authors that will host God’s presence. It is safe space to begin to dream, create topics, and brainstorm with like-minded Kingdom authors in a loving and serving community. Plus, the authors and aspiring authors who are in the community have a true desire to do good in the world through their writing, not for their own fame or fortune.
